Meet Ian, our Duty Operations Manager, he spends his day-to-day ensuring that our cargo operations are efficient.

James Bowman
Job Title: Police Sergeant
Length of Service: 25 Years
Meet James, one of our Police Sergeants with 25 years of experience, he provides operational leadership across the Port to prevent crime and disorder and manage incidents across the Western and Eastern Docks.
A Fun Fact about James: He spends most of his time off with his wife and kids and he is also a big supporter of Dover Athletic and regularly attends matches with his kids. Recently, he has become a coach for his son’s U-10s team.

Rachael Stokes
Job Title: Duty Operations Officer
Length of Service: 5 Years
Meet Rachael one of our Duty Operations Officer. She is responsible for monitoring the traffic travelling in and out of the Port and managing queues by liaising with the French Police or Ferry operators. In addition, she is responsible for Police Communications including monitoring CCTV and deploying officers. Should emergencies occur, Rachael is one of the people responsible for coordinating the immediate response.
A Fun Fact about Rachael: Rachael enjoys watching football, though she finds it increasingly difficult being a Blackburn Rovers fan these days.

Keyur Vyas
Job Title: Project Manager, Engineering
Length of Service: 3 Years
Meet Keyur, one of our Project Managers in the engineering team. He leads the planning and delivery of complex engineering and infrastructure projects across the Port. Keyur works closely with engineers, contractors to deliver projects safely with minimum disruption to port operations.
A Fun Fact about Keyur: Keyur enjoys Hindustani classical music and used to play a bit of sitar. He also likes to keep active through sports and likes to read.

Emma Ward
Job Title: Chief Operations Officer
Length of Service: 29 Years
Meet Emma, our Chief Operations Officer. She is in charge of strategic direction of all Port operations including Cargo, Cruise, Marina, Safety & Security, Policing and Resilience.

Dafydd William
Job Title: VTS Officer
Length of Service: 1 Year
Meet Dafydd, one of our Vessel Traffic Services Officers. He maintains situational awareness of marine side of the port acting as a nexus and distributor of relevant information to differing parties within the port. This allows VTO to contribute to the safety of lives at sea, safety of navigation increase the efficiency of vessel movements, protection of the marine environment, protection of infrastructure and maritime security.
A Fun Fact about Dafydd: Dafydd has recently finished his Psychology degree. He has also taken up knitting and is currently working on a wonky scarf. previously, Dafydd used to sew and previously made a water resistant cloak for a costume. He likes games and is currently playing Slay The Spire.
