The Port of Dover is looking forward to welcoming passengers over the half term getaway period. Following considerable planning, particularly to cater for the reduced ferry capacity and longer border checks, the Port has been operating well, enabling 14,000 passengers to journey to Europe for their half term holidays so far today. The average wait time for border controls has been 60-90 minutes and traffic is free flowing through the port beyond these controls.
As expected, the port is busy, but operating well with approach roads also currently operating well.
