Industrial Action in Calais has ended

Port of Calais reopens to shipping following Industrial Action in France UPDATE @ 19:00hrs OPERATION STACK remains in place

The Port of Calais has reopened to shipping following a period of industrial action in France today, Thursday 24 September.  Ferry services to and from the Port of Dover are therefore resuming normal service. Operation Stack will however, remain in place until the freight traffic heading to France has been cleared.  The Port of Dover is liaising closely with Kent Police.

The Port of Dover would like to encourage tourist traffic heading for Dover to continue to use the M2/A2 route.

Customers are advised to contact their chosen ferry operator before travelling and consult the Port of Dover website (www.doverport.co.uk) or Twitter account (@PoD_travelnews) for the latest information.
