With dragon boat racing the main water sport this year, there’s still time to release your competitive streak and get your adrenaline pumping with a team! Live Music at Clocktower will also be running all throughout the day, plus other family entertainment, stalls, demonstrations and delicious food and drink. Dover Regatta is the place to be this Saturday, 1 July.

With the new Marina now open at the heart of Dover’s gleaming waterfront, surrounded by Kent’s best local produce pop ups, there’s never been a better opportunity to relax and enjoy the coast.
Diederik Smet, Placemaking, Events and Partnership Manager at the Port said:
“Dover is becoming one of the best places in the UK to experience the coast, with fantastic new leisure spaces, iconic views and culture and vibrant entertainment; all within an hour of London.
The Regatta attracts thousands of families to the waterfront each year, creating memories to last a lifetime, whilst raising funds for some important local charities. I’m sure this year’s will be our best yet – see you there!”
You can find further info and sign up for the free Dragon Boat Race here. *All able-bodied participants must be comfortable in deep water and capable of swimming 50 metres with the aid of an EU-approved personal flotation device (buoyancy aid, which will be provided).
The Port is pleased to be supporting Dover Food Bank, South Kent Mind, Dover RNLI, and the Big Blue Foundation this year, with all funds raised being split between the four charities.
There will also be an opportunity to meet many local clubs, groups and organisations including St John’s Ambulance and the Dover Road Runners. Children can admire the mermaid display and the marine shows are certain to fascinate the whole family.
