Visiting the Port

If you are planning to visit the Port, it is essential that you are sponsored by an individual from an organisation that operates within the Port, your sponsor will apply for a temporary pass for you.  

Please liaise with your sponsor to facilitate your visit, permanent pass holders can apply to become a sponsor via the pass holder self-service portal which will grant the opportunity to invite visitors on site.

Port Access

To obtain an access control pass, contractors are required to apply via the Port Access System. This process will be triggered after an Authorisation to Work application is made via the ATW system.  

Contractors will receive notifications on the ATW portal and their registered email.  
To apply for a pass:  

  • Click on the notification/task on the ATW portal (alternatively, the link provided in the email notification can also be used) 
  • Complete the form 
  • Complete the GSSAT (Link to the GSSAT Training Portal can be found above)
  • Go to Port Reception to collect a physical access control pass 

Please note that an access control pass can only be issued once the Authorisation to Work, GSSAT and Welcome Forms have been completed. 

Access & Use Requirements

All contractors are required to: 

  • Apply for Authorisation to Work (ATW) and permit where required via the ATW portal  
  • Apply for an access control pass via the Port Access System. 
  • Have valid General Security and Safety Awareness Training (GSSAT) status. The GSSAT is required to be completed annually and is valid until the pass holder’s next birthday. 
  • Complete the Contractor Awareness Training (CAT)/induction.
