A special Mustang fly-past closed an incredible season for Carnival Cruise Line in Dover on 10 August, as Carnival Miracle sailed away for her ninth and final cruise from the Kent port this year.

The 1944 Mustang – a single-seat fighter aircraft used by the United States during World War II – circled the iconic White Cliffs of Dover for an impressive ten-minute display as guests set off for their 15-day Mediterranean cruise.

Peter Wright, Head of Cruise at the Port of Dover said:

“We have shared some brilliant memories with Carnival Cruise Line over the years, and we always appreciate the energy and joy that their crew and guests bring to Dover every season.

“It’s been a pleasure to provide a memorable experience for thousands of guests cruising to Europe, the Mediterranean, British Isles, Iceland, Scandinavia and the Baltic. Plus, welcoming Carnival Miracle for her milestone inaugural call. We can’t wait to see Carnival Legend back for another set of cruises in 2026.”

Carnival Legend returns to Dover in June 2026 for the first of nine calls in total next year.
